GridLogic Ltd. is the member of the econet.hu holding. The econet.hu Computer Sciences plc. is the first domestic Internet enterprise to enter the stock market. Established by Hungarian individuals the company has been continuously growing due to several local private and institutional investors’ capital expenditures. By acquisitions it became one of the leading Internet suppliers at the local Internet sector being now present throughout the Internet supply palette: as access and content supplier, as software developer and as system operator. By means of it’s group of companies, econet.hu Rt. –as an Internet service provider-  made a significant demand list during the past few years, parts of this can be attended with the GRID technology.  The GridLogic Ltd. aims to build a marketable supercomputer architecture, which –following the initial investment- can operate economic, and makes profit.  Thus the company aims to acclimatizate an informatic resource distributional model based on the Desktop Grid techology, which can be obtained by paying fee. After the development, computing capacity of the PCs connected to the Internet can be assembled, and can be reached as a type of  public service.  According to the „public service” build-up, investments can be exchanged with operational cost, which provides major freedom and latitude in the usage and acquisition of informatic capacity. If the project succeeds, Hungary will advance significantly in research-science projects requiring large computing capacity.
