As an assignment of the Office of National Research and Technology, the Office of Research-Expansion Competiton and Research-utilization (KPI) published the Pázmány Péter Programme tender at its website on 2005.05.23. The programme aims to fund the making and operating of several Regional University Knowledge Centers (RET): establishing such speciality and regional centers, which conduct outstanding scientific-researches, innovative technological activities, collaborate intensely with the economical sphere, have inciting effect on the region’s technological and economical enhancement, and through this they extend the region’s and the country’s competitiveness. With the leadership of the Eötvös Loránd University of Science (ELTE) a 5 member consortium had assembled in June, 2005, to reach the goals of the tender, namely the creation of a university scientific and technological innovation center. With the strengthen and the international-sized expansion of the teamwork, many tasks –sometimes accessible from different places, organized in complicated structures- need evaluation, so that we can have the important information. The present project had been made to work of answers to these technological questions. To achieve the goals successfully, a strategy is needed for automatic data collecting, ordinating in optimal database, processing (which needs huge computing capacity), and essence grabbing visualization. By means of the Grid technology based Virtual Observatorium, a technology is coming off, which can be very useful in performing data processing tasks. Several enterprises can have competition advantage after putting two and two together.
